MAPUTO:

Is the capital of Mozambique with a population of about 2 million.
It’s a city renowned for its colonial Portuguese architecture with broad and leafy avenues and a friendly atmosphere, excellent hotels, restaurants and an exciting nightlife.
The major attraction of  Mozambique is the  coast,  making it one of  the best  beach holidays in Southern Africa.

BAZARUTO ARCHIPELAGO:

The Bazaruto Archipelago consists in five islands: Bazaruto, Benguera, Magaruque, Santa Carolina and Bangué. They are situated more than 10 km offshore from Vilankulo.
Bazaruto used to trade with Arabs and Portuguese, as earlier as 16th century, with its pearls and ambergris.
Nowadays, the Archipelago is a national park, which protects the habitat for numerous bird species, turtles and more than 200 species of fish, including the endangered dugong.

The islands offer sandy beaches, turquoise waters and coral reefs with abundant marine life making diving, snorkelling or fishing, some of the main activities.

QUIRIMBAS ARCHIPELAGO:

Situated further north in the Mozambique’s coast only reachable by boat or private air charter from Pemba. The Quirimbas Archipelago consists of 32 coral islands stretching from Pemba (capital of Cabo Delgado Province) to the Rovuma river, the border with Tanzania.
The small town of Ibo lies on the island of the same name. Ibo is one of the most ancient towns in Mozambique. The islands were occupied by Muslim traders before the 15th century.
Only few of the islands are inhabited and recently some hotels have been developed in Matemo, Medjumbe and Quilalea islands.
